Electric Motorcycles in 2026: The New Models, Their Speed, and How We Ship Them

Electric motorcycles are no longer a novelty. The newest models are quick, quiet and built by names riders already know, and more of them are being bought online and shipped across the country every month. At Motorcycle Transporters we move electric bikes the same way we move every motorcycle: door to door, inside an enclosed trailer. This guide covers the new electric models, how fast they are, how they compare with gas bikes, and what is different about shipping one.
The new electric motorcycles and how fast they go
The fastest electric bike on this list, the Zero SR/F, tops out at 124 mph. The biggest news is Honda: the WN7 is its first full-size electric motorcycle.
| Motorcycle | Top speed | Range | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zero SR/F | 124 mph | 176 miles city | Streetfighter, about 500 lb |
| LiveWire ONE | 110 mph | 146 miles city | From Harley-Davidson's electric brand |
| LiveWire S2 Mulholland | 99 mph | 120 miles city | Cruiser styling |
| Honda WN7 | About 80 mph | About 87 miles | New. Honda's first full-size electric, about 478 lb |
| Can-Am Pulse | 80 mph | 100 miles city | Commuter street bike |
| Zero LS1 | About 62 mph | About 72 miles | New. Electric scooter with removable batteries |
Three more to watch: the Verge TS Pro claims 217 miles of range, the LiveWire S4 Honcho is set to go into production in 2026, and Royal Enfield showed its Flying Flea FF.S6.
Speeds and ranges are the figures reported by the reviewers listed under Sources. Real range drops at highway speed and in cold weather.
Electric vs. gas
Electric wins off the line and on upkeep; gas still wins on top speed and long trips.
| Compared | Electric | Gas |
|---|---|---|
| Acceleration | Full torque the instant you twist the throttle, no shifting | Builds through the gears |
| Top speed | 80 to 124 mph on the models above | Big sport bikes go well past 150 mph |
| Range | Roughly 85 to 180 miles in the city, less on the highway | Often 150 to 250 miles per tank |
| Refuel time | Minutes on a fast charger to hours on a wall outlet | About five minutes at any gas station |
| Upkeep | No oil changes, clutch, spark plugs or valve adjustments | Regular engine service |
| Sound | Nearly silent | The engine note many riders love |
| Weight | The battery is heavy and sits low in the frame | Weight changes as the tank empties |
For commuting and around-town riding, electric is hard to beat. For cross-country touring, gas is still the easier choice. That gap is one reason so many electric bikes are shipped instead of ridden home from the seller.
How we transport electric motorcycles
Every electric motorcycle we ship rides inside an enclosed trailer, picked up at your door and delivered to the address you choose.
- 1Pickup at your door. We come to your home, dealer or seller. You do not need to bring the bike to a terminal.
- 2Powered off before loading. The bike is switched off and the key or fob comes out, so it cannot move under its own power on the ramp.
- 3Loaded with care for the weight. Electric bikes carry a heavy battery low in the frame, so they are walked up the ramp slowly and kept upright.
- 4Secured with soft ties. Soft straps go on solid points of the frame and front end, never across bodywork, the battery case or the charge port.
- 5Enclosed the whole way. The trailer keeps rain, road salt and debris away from the battery, electronics and paint.
- 6Delivered to your door. The bike is unloaded and checked with you, and the charger and accessories are handed over with it.
One thing is simpler than with a gas bike: there is no fuel, oil or coolant to leak in transit.
Getting your electric bike ready for pickup
- Leave the battery about half charged. It does not need to be full or empty.
- Pack the charger, cables, spare key or fob and owner's manual to travel with the bike.
- Remove loose items such as phone mounts, tank bags and luggage.
- Take dated photos of the bike from every side.
- Tell us if the bike has been dropped or crashed, or if the battery shows any damage or warning lights.
- Have the make, model and any add-ons ready so the quote is accurate.
