Enclosed Motorcycle Shipping

Quick answer

Enclosed motorcycle shipping moves your bike inside a closed trailer, so it is shielded from weather, road debris, and theft for the whole trip. Every motorcycle we ship travels enclosed and door to door. Call or request a free quote for your exact price.

About our enclosed motorcycle shipping

A bike on an open trailer spends days in the wind, rain, and spray from the trucks around it. Inside an enclosed trailer, none of that reaches the paint, the seat, or the electronics. That is why enclosed is how we move every motorcycle, not an add-on you have to ask for.

Inside the trailer, the front wheel sits in a chock and soft-tie straps go around solid points like the lower triple clamp and frame, so nothing pulls on painted or chromed parts.

FAQ

Enclosed Motorcycle Shipping questions

Is enclosed motorcycle shipping worth it?

For most riders, yes. It keeps the bike clean and out of sight, and it removes weather and road debris from the equation. It matters most for new, custom, vintage, and high-value bikes, and for any trip through rain, snow, or salted roads.

Do I need to drain the gas or crate the bike?

Most bikes do not need crating. Leave a low fuel level, around a quarter tank, make sure the battery is charged, and remove loose items. Our prep guide covers the full checklist.

Is enclosed shipping more expensive than open transport?

Enclosed trailers carry fewer vehicles than open car carriers, so enclosed transport can cost more on some routes. Because every bike we ship travels enclosed, the quote you get already includes it. Call or request a free quote for your exact price.

Will my motorcycle share the trailer with other vehicles?

Usually, yes. Enclosed trucks typically carry several motorcycles or vehicles on the same route, each secured in its own position so nothing touches your bike.

Can I ship a motorcycle with a cover on it?

A cover is not needed in an enclosed trailer, and a loose cover can rub the paint as it moves. Leave it off, or pack it separately if you want it at your destination.
