Riding season in North Carolina

Fall foliage season in October is the busiest time for riding-trip deliveries to the mountains. Summer brings military moves at Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune, and August and May follow the university calendar in the Triangle.

Close to our Richmond base

Raleigh is about 160 miles from our Richmond office and Charlotte about 290, both on interstates our trucks run constantly. That makes North Carolina one of the easiest states for us to serve outside Virginia. Wilmington and the Outer Banks are reached through I-40 and US-17 or through Chesapeake on Route 168.

Mountain riding and the Dragon

The Blue Ridge Parkway runs about 250 miles through western North Carolina, past Boone, Asheville, and Mount Mitchell. At Deals Gap on the Tennessee line, US-129 packs 318 curves into 11 miles, the stretch riders call the Tail of the Dragon, and the Cherohala Skyway is close by. Many riders ship to Asheville or Bryson City and ride from there.

Military moves in North Carolina

Fort Bragg near Fayetteville, Camp Lejeune near Jacksonville, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, and MCAS Cherry Point near Havelock all see regular moves to and from Virginia bases. Delivery on base depends on access rules, so many riders choose an off-base address.

FAQ

North Carolina motorcycle shipping questions

Can you ship my motorcycle to the Blue Ridge Parkway or the Tail of the Dragon?

Yes. Riders ship bikes to Asheville, Boone, Bryson City, or Robbinsville, ride the mountains, and ship home. Choose a delivery address where someone can receive the bike, such as a lodge or a friend's home.

How far is North Carolina from your Richmond office?

Raleigh is about 160 miles and Charlotte about 290 miles from our office, both on I-85 or I-95. Western North Carolina is farther, roughly 350 to 450 miles depending on the town.

Do you ship for Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune moves?

Yes. Tell us your report date and new duty station. A trusted contact can release or receive the bike if you are not there, and many riders choose an off-base address.

Do you deliver to the Outer Banks?

Yes. Summer traffic on US-158 and Route 12 is heavy, so allow some flexibility. Call or request a free quote for your exact price.

Which North Carolina cities do you serve?

All of them, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Fayetteville, Wilmington, and Asheville, plus small mountain and coastal towns.
